I served on escort duty in the Atlantic-Mediterranean Theater, North Africa, France, Italy, Sicily, Ireland and England.   I received three Bronze Stars for three invasions – Normandy, Southern France, and Island of Sicily – three years sea duty in WWII Europe-USA on DD 616 Destroyer.   Home port was Brooklyn, New York.

In the Korean conflict, I served on the APA Billy Mitchell, Pacific OL USA – Korea and all islands in between hauling troops APA  114 Japan.
