Wyman L. Schenk
Wyman Schenk joined the United States Army in September 1965. He did his basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. In December of 1965, he was sent to Ft. Devens, Massachusetts, for his advanced training, in Radio Intercept for the Army Security Agency. In May of 1966, he was assigned to the agency offices as a Clerk Typist.
In May of 1968, Spec. 4 Schenk was sent to Viet Nam and was stationed at Saigon. He was promoted to Spec. 5 while in Viet Nam. While in Viet Nam he was awarded an ARCOM for services rendered aiding the security to the United States of America. Spec. Schenk served one year in Viet Nam and was honorably discharged from the Army in May of 1969.

Mark L. Schenk
Mark L. Schenk, a 1988 graduate of Carroll High School, enlisted in the United States Army in June of 1991. He spent his basic training at Ft. Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina. He did his Advanced Training as a Medic at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. He served 2 years in Germany. From Germany, Sgt. Schenk was sent to Ft. Hood in Texas where he served with the Cavalry.
Sgt. Schenk was honorable discharged from the Army in 1995. At that time he enlisted in the Army National Guard of Indiana. In November of 1998, Sgt. Schenk returned to active duty and was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas.
Sgt. Schenk was sent to Camp Casey, in Seoul, Korea, in February of 1001. He returned to the states in 2002, where he is presently assigned to Ft. Hood, Texas with the Infantry.
Sgt. Schenk has received many awards while performing his duties as a Medic. He has received 6 Army Commendation Medals, the Expert Field Medical Badge, the Good Conduct Medal, 2 Army Achievement Medals, and the National Defense Medical.
