HAND, E. MARIE (WARSTLER)

Huntertown – E. Marie (Warstler) Hand, 85, of Huntertown, died Friday, June 11, 2004, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.  Born near Auburn, Indiana, she moved from Huntington County to Huntertown in 1955.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, current events, pro golfer Tiger Woods and especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her eight children:

            Billy (Sandra) Hand, all of Fort Wayne

            Larry (Joyce) Hand of Roanoke

            Barbara Deetz (Raymond) Kissner of Wolcottville

            Jesse (Jacque) Hand of Garrett

            Shirley Gronski of Gowanda, New York

            Marsha (Richard) Myers of LaOtto

Three sisters:

            Edith Hershberger of Auburn

            Dorothy Hall of Garrett

            Juanita Groneau of Fort Wayne

A Half-brother

            Bill (Mary) Coak of Butler

23 Grandchildren

46 great-grandchildren

and a great-great-grandson. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Hand, in 1989, granddaughter, Darlene Hand Johnson, great-grandson, Ryan Hand and a son-in-law, Larry Deetz.

Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco.  Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.  Burial at Huntertown Cemetery.  Memorials to Huntertown EMS.
