HOOT, WYONALD “ONEY”
WYONALD “ONEY” HOOT, 88 of rural Huntertown, died Monday, February 6, 2006, as the result of a truck-vehicle accident. Born in Avilla, he lived in Fremont as a child, and had lived in the Huntertown area, since 1927. He was a World War II Army Veteran, and married MARGARET H. RYAN, in 1941. He worked at General Electric and International Harvester, and had been a self-employed trucker. He retired from the Memorial Coliseum, Fort Wayne after 18 years, in 1976 and had been founder and president of Big “O” Trampolines. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Huntertown Volunteer Fire Department, and was a life member of Elmer Pond Chapter of the D. A. V., Fort Wayne. In his leisure time he enjoyed mowing lawns, making rosaries, and making peanut brittle.
Surviving are his wife, MARGARET

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church with calling one hour prior to the service. Father John Kuzmich, the celebrant. Calling also from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco, with Vigil Service at 5 p.m. and Rosary at 8 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery, with Military graveside rites. Memorials to the Huntertown Volunteer Fire Department, America Heart Association or Masses.
