Obit:  Alice J. Hummell, 67, died yesterday at her home in Huntertown.  The Woodruff native lived 25 years in Allen County.  She retired in 1977 as a sales clerk at L.S. Ayres & Co. after 11 years.  She was a member of Huntertown United Methodist Church.  Her husband, Kenneth Paul Sr., died in 1976.

Surviving are:

    a son, Monroe F. of Fort Wayne

    daughters,

            Catherine A. Boren of Huntertown 

            Nina M. Shell 

            Martha J. Burns, both of South Bend

    sisters,

            Martha Goodremont 

            Dorothy Hill, both of LaGrange,

            Nora Yoder of Emmatown

10 grandchildren

5 great- grandchildren

Services are noon Monday in the church.  Calling is 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow in D.O. McComb & Sons, Maplewood Park Funeral Home, and one hour before services Monday in the church.  Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice, Inc., Allen County Cancer Society, or the church.
