KNAFEL, DeELDA E. 

DeELDA E. KNAFEL, 93, formerly of Churubusco, died Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Kendallville Manor Healthcare Center.   She was born in Allen County and was a lifelong Churubusco-area resident.   She married PAUL R. KNAFEL in South Bend on April 24, 1930, and was a homemaker.  She was member of St. John’s Lutheran Church – Lake Township, and enjoyed the Guys & Gals Square Dance Club for 25 years.

Surviving are daughters:

            BETTY (WILLIAM J.) SMITH and

            WANDA (RICHARD) MARONEY, both of Wolcottville

            SANDRA ELSER and

            SUE GRABILL, both of Fort Wayne

and numerous step-great-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999
